Sorry for the blurry pic. This fabric was made up of lines of different fishy patterns. Striped fabrics can be really fun with this technique because it highlights the hexagon shapes. You have to cut 6 60 degree triangles all EXACTLY the same. It is not a particularly thrifty technique as there tends to be more wasted fabric, but it is a fun way to get wide range of visual interest out of one fabric. I have a template for the 60 degree triangles if you want to borrow it. :)
ReplyDelete(I put loops on the long and short sides so it can be hung either way because it is such a strange shape.)
This is such an interesting design. It reminds me of a kaleidoscope!
